Charmaine Mauch

April 28, 1936 – July 18, 2021

Born 4/28/36 passed away peacefully at home on 7/18/21 at the age of 85. She leaves behind her daughters, Pamela Mitchell (Daniel) and Lisa Aronson (Alan); her granddaughters, Paula Massei and Melanie Riley; her brother, Dennis Michael as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Adeline ( Sally) Villeneuve; her husband Ronald; and her sister Susan Lacy.

For all that knew Char, she loved to travel, play golf, pinochle, bowling and Scrabble, which she LOVED to win.  During her life she worked at Steven’s Steakhouse in Elmhurst as a bartender for 30+ years. Later, she co-owned a women’s consignment shop, the Walk- in-Closet located in Bloomingdale. Through the years she acquired and fought numerous health issues, especially that of Macular Degeneration. She was lucky enough to have a large group of caring friends that would “Cart her heinie around” when she was unable to drive any longer. Her spunk and independent nature kept her friends and family on their toes.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you mix yourself a cocktail or a glass of wine, go bowling, play cards or a heated game of scrabble.

The interment is Private. For funeral information, please call JGeils Funeral Services at 630-247-6623

Thank you Jim Geils

To all the families that have supported my father, Jim, throughout his 45 years as a funeral director, I hope you will continue to let me serve you moving forward.

Filling my father’s shoes, will not be an easy task and something I will forever strive for; however, he has given me the knowledge, guidance, experience and lasting relationships within the funeral industry that will hopefully make this transition possible.

He was my confidant, superior but mostly my biggest fan. I know he will be with me always, leading and guiding me to be the best funeral director I can be.

I will continue my father’s legacy as best and for as long as I can, with your love, help and support.

Sincerely,
Monica Geils Conroy
